We want to meet you

Become a Friend of the Lowline

The Lowline runs on a mix of city investment and private support. This is where the private half comes in, whichever way fits how you want to be involved.

Give to the Lowline

Ways to Give

Every gift, at any size, goes toward closing the gap between what the City of Charleston has committed and what it actually takes to build and open the Lowline. Friends of the Lowline is a registered 501(c)(3) in South Carolina, so your gift is tax-deductible.

Is my donation tax-deductible?

Yes. Friends of the Lowline is a registered 501(c)(3).

When does Phase 1 open?

Summer 2027.

Can I give monthly, or designate my gift to something specific?

Pending answer

Is there a current matching gift campaign?

The ideation doc references "the match" and "the deadline" as content for this page, but I don't have the actual terms. If a match is currently live, this is the place to say so, matching campaigns are genuinely one of the strongest conversion tools you have

Other Ways to Give

Not Every Gift Is A Credit Card.

PARTNER WITH US

A Real Partnership, Not Just a Logo Placement

Some gifts are best measured by what they make possible. Others are best measured by what you can point to, years from now, and say, that's mine.

Bench Dedication: $10,000 for a 10-year dedication with the Lowline. A visible way to be part of the corridor every time someone sits down.

Your Gift Is Doubled

The Speedwell Foundation matches every dollar until the $1.6M remaining match is met.
